Capt. Dale Hennessey
On Saturday February 17,
2001 Capt. Dale Hennessey was dispatched to Brownstation Way (Hwy 62)
and the Silver Creek Bridge. Upon arrival Capt. Hennessey was confronted
with a possible suicide attempt by a man threatening to jump off the
bridge. After a conversation and reassurances from Capt.
Hennessey, the distraught man was safely removed from the bridge.
By his actions, conduct and
professional mannerisms, Capt. Hennessey is most deserving of this
"Above and Beyond" recognition. (Dale is a 20 year
officer of the Clarksville Police Department)

(Rookie) Officer Frankie
Mikel
At approximately 1:13 a.m.
on December 11, 2000, third shift officers received a report of an armed
robbery at the Speedway Service Station on Blackiston Mill Road.
Officer Mikel located the suspect vehicle and after a highly successful
chain of events later apprehended the suspect. Officer Mikel deserves
the highest accolades for his professional handling of a very stressful
and hazardous situation.
A special congratulations to
(Rookie) Officer Frankie Mikel as well as the other officers and
communications dispatcher, who played important rolls in the
apprehension and arrest of the suspect. |
